That stripper music thread got me reminiscing about a lot of the Industrial I used to listen to back in the day...
So, I went and downloaded some of the old stuff. Some still rocks, some got old. On the still rocks list is
Rammstein
KMFDM
Sisters of Mercy
Front 242
Tool (Still kicking ass big time)
NIN
Stabbing Westward
And then not-so much...
Skinny Puppy
Burning Retina
Apoptygma Berzerk
Pig
Anyone else into the industrial scene back then?

Yep....and here are a few more:
- Ministry
- 1000 Homo Dj's
- Hate Department
- Death Ride 69
Those are off the top of my head.....might have to dig through the collection now.

Hell yeah... there are some blasts from back then.
White Zombie could loosely be considered Industrial I guess. My Life with the Thrill Kill Cult... boy did I have a lot of stuff from them...
My roomate in Virginia Beach was really into Industrial, and he was from Salt Lake City, which I guess had a crazy scene back then...

I saw Ministry, Helmet, and Sepultura at Universal Amp. in '92.....my ears seriously rang for two days after the concert. One of the best concerts I've ever been to.

Here's some old school Ministry.....from the 80's. The album is actually pretty good but it's nothing like the Ministry that followed that most people associate Ministry with.

Oh, another good band - Skrew....featured Al Jourgensen. Excellent album....going to dig that out right now (Wife is going to sh*t when she walks in the door...she hates by industrial music.)

Just downloaded some Rammstein and some GREAT KMFDM. Turns out there was some pretty good music made after Angst, and that was pretty much the last album I bought. I had most of them prior to that, but I can't remember whether or not Nihil was before or after that... Either way, Megalomaniac from Symbols is pretty bad ass... OH yeah... I just remembered Xtort... I think I had that too.
Some good mixes too...
Just downloaded some GREAT TKK stuff remixed by D:Fuse and others. Check it Matt...
Also just got A Drug Against War from KMFDM, JJJ, Jihad, Vogue and Safe.
There was a great NIN album called "Fixed" that was import only. It was a subsequent album to "Broken" and I have never been able to find it. Anyone have the Fixed version of "Wish"?

Who doesn't?
They are basically the same thing. I think Zamfir actually went on to be the guy from Rammstein with a flame thrower strapped to his face during live concerts, right?
BTW... I am going to be in Tennessee tomorrow yo... Pier 57 on Saturday if you want to take the Revolution for a ride.

Don't know if they qualify as "Industrial" but are some jammin groups. And in my ears fall in the same sound category as the others listed ;)
Alice In Chains
Disturbed
Fuel
Pantera
Queensryche
Saliva
Slipknot
Soundgarden
Tool
Are a few that come to mind.

Both great and both on the "Cool World" sound track.. Ah, the olden days (1992) LOL
Matt, I am a big Meat Beat fan. Satyricon is one of my favorite albums...
I actually saw NIN open for Skinny Puppy at a club in LA cally Helter Skelter. I was under age and went with a friend of mine who knew the owner. Pretty wild to see NIN open for a band most people have never heard of... LOL

In my old band Incision we opened up for tons of big time bands- NIN, Thrill Kill, Die Warzau, Consolidated, MC 900 ft Jesus etc.... I also toured with Ministry in 96' and Skinny Puppy in 93' I still have a grip of it all on vinyl.

Skinny Puppy has been around for a very long time. Cool music. There are some cool bands listed here that I forgot about like Hate Department. Saw them 13 years ago at the Showcase Theater in Corona.

That kinda reminds me of Kraftwerk for some odd reason. maybe it was the techno intro.
One thing is for sure, all this has given me some new material to add to the collection. Though I don't listen to alot of it I do like to keep a little of everything on the drive for other people to enjoy.
Thx. ;)
