I know a lot of people post about HT stuff on here and I was on AVSForums the other night researching speakers for someone and came across these. I of course have not heard them but many say they are a superb deal for a 5.0 setup for under 500 bucks. When I went to check them out, I saw they are now $199.00 with free shipping. For that price I was thinking of getting them for my kids room for his Xbox but I am worried about what my wife might say. Does anyone on here have any listening experience with these?

They look like the same speakers those idiots sell that pull up to you in vans in parking lots claiming their boss "threw-in" an extra set without knowing....

Good review on Secrets of Home Theater and High Fidelity. Not the same speaker but the company looks good. They are internet sales only.

Radiient was formed in July, 2005, with the mission to make high quality home theater products that are "easy to install" and "fun to use". The company is led by David Buuck, the former CEO of DVDO (makers of the excellent iScan video processors), and Jano Banks, the co-inventor of the HDMI standard.

Thanks for the link. I may buy a set of those for my son's room.
Cool, report back on how they sound, might be a good deal for the Havi house.

These are getting a lot of attention as well on AVSForums. Not a bad price indeed. Looks like the internet only sellers are able to sell for much less. Only disadvantage is you can't hear them before you buy. Most look like they offer trial periods so at least you can hear them in your home and make a decision.

I have heard those, and they are incredible sounding speakers, it will really blow ones mind how good those speakers sound for the price. The CS is also incredible, I had the fortune and pleasure to have dinner with the owner of av123 Mark Schifter, and the guy is top notch.

That is good to hear, I am really considering these. A guy here at work just ordered them and I was going to wait to hear his before pulling the trigger.

You might want to wait and listen to them when he gets them, we don't all have the same ears, so maybe you will not like them. The speakers are very detailed though. I have a friend that is going to sell his speakers, also from av123, Rockets 550's x4 and a Rocket center channel, the 550's I think he is going to sell for $400.00 a pair OBO, two are still in the box and never used. He just moved and is going to go with inwall speakers because of the wife. The 550's are even better than the X-MTM speakers. The 550's are now the 450's, check them out if you get a chance, besides sounding great, they look real nice.

Thats alright, the speakers have glossy black endcaps on top and bottom as well as the black speaker covers, they will go just fine.:) Well, I am going to sell them for him and he will probably bring them by pretty soon if you want to take a look at them.

Can't do freestanding, but does anyone have any input on MTX in wall speakers for theatre use?
