Strong winds and zero visibility has forced the closure of Highway 58 in the Mojave area, a day after blinding sandstorms north of Los Angeles helped trigger several car pileups that killed at least four people.
A California Highway Patrol dispatcher says the closure begins at Highway 14 and ends at exit 172.
A detour has been set up eastbound on Highway 14 into Mojave. There's no estimate on when Highway 58 will reopen
