I was wondering if anyone on here owns a glass shop and does windshields close to LAX. My car will be there all next week and I need a windshield. Thanks

All Star Glass, pretty much everywhere and come to where ever you are to do the repair/replace on site.

When I did my last 2, Safelite was the cheapest - http://www.safelite.com
But if insurance is covering it, go for the best installer you can find and ask about their warranty! Leaks are a bitch. My friend had his new Bimmer windshield replaced and water leaked down the inside and fried his ECU. Not cheap and a big hassle!

:jawdrop: that is a really high price. the rain sensor doesn't need to be replaced, the only thing with the glass is that the bracket comes on it.

again, don't use safelite :) ......leaks are a bitch but if you use a quality shop you should have no worries, imo there is NO EXCUSE for a shitty installation...your life could depend on it. every quality shop should carry a lifetime warranty against any type of leaks.

Should I just have the dealer fix both items and pay my $500 deductible?

that could be the way to go if you want the grill fixed on the same claim. the lexus dealer probably uses a good glass company :)
