Just curious what you're paying?
On our Verizon cellphone plan:
We have 5 cellphones, and laptop wireless internet access, more minutes than we can ever use, and 500 text messages per phone:
$202 per mo.
Does that seem about right?
A know a lot on the HB board are against their kids having cell phones, but it's a BFD with the wife to be able to contact them. So before you pound my balls flat with a splintered wooden mallet with my weiner nailed to the block, and a red hot poker shoved up my azz:
------------------------------
The animal rights group PETA invaded our kids daycare once, and they terrified the kids. (look it up, Thousand Oaks Rags).
It was a 3 hour fist city shitstorm with the animal rights activists untill the sheriffs could get it under control, and our kids were the only ones with a cellphone to call home for help.
Believe me, when fuxballs like that are messing with your family,, it's gonna be just you and the Animal rights a-hole's. You're a lot tougher when you're angry. You can do amazing feats in battle. Yes, you can still be a tough as you once was, as tough as you ever was.
On another occasion,,,
A 24" water main broke at the daughters school. The sewage from the sewers back filled with the water & backed into the school deluxe,, its was a real fuxstory.
The whole school was under a foot of water & poop, all the utilities went dead, and the kids with banned cell phones (read that cellphones banned by school authorities) were asked to let the other kids (3,994 kids total enrollment) use them to call their parents.
Our daughter called home first, and I was able to get her outta the mess.
It's situations that make it worth while for them to have the phones.

BTW, for some reason, the air card does not work in DJs RV park in havi. Would anybody know why???

2 phones and the Tahoe (Verizon cell through OnStar).
700 anytime minutes (we average 200-250 minutes)
.05 per text message (we rarely text more than 10 per month, so the cost of XX number or unlimited text isn't worth it)
$85.00 per month

I don't really remember all the particulars of the plan, as my wife and I never went over the minutes. But we added my daughter to the plan for $9.99 per month in September (she started high school), and my first months bill for text messaging alone was $113.00!
Needless to say, if it wasn't going to cost $525.00 to opt out of my current plan, I'd be switching to something different ASAP!
Cell phone carriers and their plans------>BASTARDS!

If you have a lot of minutes then your bill is about right. You're probably paying $60 ($59.99) for you Aircard and I'm guessing you have anywhere between 1400 & 2000 minutes total. Wireless providers make most of their money on overage charges, ie, airtime overages, pay as you go text messaging, and they make a bundle off 411 calls. You can always ask your carrier for a rate plan analysis to make sure you're on the best plans. I do it all the time for my customers.

You probably have a "newer" Aircard that works on Verizon's high speed network which is not installed on the Havasu cellsites yet.
