As everyone knows I'm in "the biz". I car shopped for a week straight, day and night. It was easy for me to do since most of my clients cover all the vehicle lines that are out there. IMHO, there is no better value than this baby:
The Mazda CX-9

It received Motor Trend Sport Utility of the Year for 2008. I never thought I would own (lease) a cross-over. This thing is absolutely amazing.
Here's the article if you want to read it.

I'm telling you, I shopped for both vehicles based on value. I wasn't afarid to spend the money if I thought it was worth it. It came down to the MBZ GL450 or this Mazda. That sounds like comparing apples to oranges. It is. I had a list of needs/wants. The bottom line is that the only advantage we saw in the MBZ it that it could tow 7500lbs. Otherwise, I wasn't going to sport a payment of almost $400 per month more and an extra $3000 out of my pocket to start the lease. No sir.

Did she not like the 07 Denali? Wife has a 05 and wants to get the new one.

We actually loved it but the fuel economy was killing us. Average was less than 10mpg. The AWD has something to do with it.
I thought we needed 2 full size vehicle to be able to tow the boat with. Turns out we'll be just fine with my 07 Duramax to haul the boat back and forth from Havi to Cali. We'll just use my Jeep Cherokee to launch the boat with if we drive the Mazda or the BMW to Havasu now.

The GL is a great tow vehicle. I towed my Lavey 2750(well over 7000lbs) to Parker from the OC and back and averaged a little over 12 mpg. Not too bad.
Congrats on the new ride, looks good.

Nice.
Are those factory wheels?
Factory 20" wheels. Navigation. Back-Up camera. Factory 10" flip down TV with DVD and headsets. Sirius sat radio. Keyless go (Love That!). It is LOADED.
Believe it or not, this was the only vehicle with 7 passenger capability that I could sit in the 3rd row with my 15 yr old son who is 5'10" and not feel crammed (sp) together. The head room is also the best of any cross-over and better that any a lot of mid-size suv's. (i.e. 4-runner, Lexus GX-470, etc)
Again, another great lease deal. I could not resist.

We are locked in over here with some neighbor friends of the girls and such, but thanks for the invite. I am sure you can manage to still have SOME fun without team Curry ;)
