I've been @ Lake Havasu Rv & Boat Storage behind Lowe's off the 95 when you come into town since they have opened about a year ago. $135 a month for a really really nice place, boat wash, restrooms, advanced alarm system on each unit, well lit, 24hr access.. Well I'm getting a larger boat and will be going from a 30ft to a 40ft so the price jumps to $170 a month... They are raising there rent after only one year to the $190's now for a 40ft spot... Is it me or is that pretty bad for only being open for 1 year? I asked the owner if there will be more rent raises to come and he said, there will be no more "this year".
I'm about to pack up out of there, if you get a storage at the 40/95 entrance which is what? 10 miles outside town you can get a 40x14 (2ft wider then lake havasu rv/boat) for $135- less then I was paying for a 30fter...
If I am paying almost 200 bux a month why not spend another 700/800 and buy a damn house...

Sounds to me like the introductory offers have run out, and it's market prices now.

Sounds cheap to me. 225 a month for storage 16x40. No alarm, gravel and mud as surface outside of each unit, no boat wash, no restrooms and we only can use the boat 6-7 months of the year depending on weather. Wanna trade?

Try Lakefront Storage, on London Bridge road, just north of Windsor. A 13 X 40 was $120.00 a few months back. Probably less now. New complex, 24 hour access with all the amenities.

For what we would pay on storage, food, lodging and everything else then having a house is a wash and in the long term is an investment. Actually even with the market the way it is there would be profit if we sold it right now. Not much but there would be. We co-own the house with my in-laws though and it works out great. Good idea if you have somebody you could do that with. Be careful though. They are the only people I would ever do that with financially and we are always at the river together anyway. If you can make it work go for it.

I plan on buying a house in havasu in the next year or so if possible... I saw a storage for sale for 35k - 39 deep, with a few k down that will run 200bux a month. I may feel better about buying that then paying the stupid storage company that much for the same thing...
