Blue Devil rumors have been out for over a year now.
With the sucess of the C6 Z06 I think this car will be produced in very limited numbers.(Big mark ups)
I also thought I read that it wasn't getting the 427 and a supercharger but something along the line of the new Escalade 6.2 with a roots blower.
Considering how scary the stock z06's are an extra 100hp should make it flat out Bannanas and bar none the fastest car for under 400K :crossx:

Get real! the current viper will still beat the vet with a driver who knows what he doing(Zo6 traction control kills it) The '08 Viper will be 650HP. Look out! :)

Guess since Lingenfelter is dead [he has done 650 and 700 hp versions] , GM got to get off its laurels and make a decent car :p

brian potter is an idiot
you make the #1 sport car unobtainable to the working american. you might as well just pull the plug. with a 100k car they should just send it out to calliway and have them build the supercar. it would be great if they put that thing on steroids like 650 - 750 horse changed the z06 scoops. and badge it the grandsport for the heritage plus keep it under 80k...
the euro attitude will never change. they turn thier nose at chevy. if chevy wanted to change thier image they would spend a little more time on the design of the interior. and refine the ride.
i do like chevys and that all i own. but im tired of chevy teasing us and then never going all the way through with it. if they are going to do something. then do it right. the labor in mexico really is not that expensive....
i think if they do release that camaro they will screw it up and they will under market it after 2 years, then cry about it not selling. the hhr is about 8 yrs to late and way to similar to the pt cruiser.
jay i bet that hhr are not flying of the shelf. am i right i bet it dont out sell as the colbolt?

Viper, Viper, Viper. Blah, blah, blah. For $20,000 more or however much more it is, it ought to beat the Vette. But IF it will, it won't beat it by much - not since it weighs more than the Z06. Give a Viper 650HP and it should beat the Z06.

Oh, by the way, the Blue Devil stories are all over everywhere. I hope they build it but if they do it will (a) cost $100K or more (which isn't a bad thing since it will eat everything else on the road except for $million exotics) and (b) it will probably take away from production of the C6 and Z06 (not a good thing).

uhhhh
The Viper SRT-10 is no where near as fast in a straight line as a C6 Z06.(I have driven both)
I have never seen a "Stock" Viper trap anywhere near 125 in the 1/4.
Usually a stock Viper runs in the 116-121 range depening on driver.

Come to Southern California and I will show you how a car that traps 123+MPH looks from a freeway roll.(Looser buys beer)
I drive a blown 04 C5 (470rwhp) but was shocked at how fast the stock Z06's are and it takes alot to impress me.
I am a big fan of the SRT-10 viper and can't wait to see a couple of the new Coupes on the street.(I loved the previous generation GTS)

$75k for a chevy vs. $55k for a F.O.R.D., if you consider you get what you pay for... that would be about right.....:D
