New Tiburon Forum member anthony718 just posted some pics of the new Hyundai Coupe totally undisguised. Saying he got the pics from "a friend," he details how the photos came from a market research event back in June. According to the info given, the Coupe would have two engine options, a 2.0L turbo with 215HP and 217 ft-lbs of torque, or a 3.8LV6 with 300HP and 280 ft-lbs. Prices were given as $19,900 for the 4 or $25,900 for the V6. While we have good reason to believe there will be a genuine V8 in the engine bay when we see the car in LA next week, this event was held back in June and changes could have been made since that time.

To my eye, the design looks like a copy of the GS35 Coupe with some Acura front end and Celica rear quarter thrown in for good measure :)
Plus, when I think Hyundai I can't help but think of these (shudder):

I like how Hyundai and Kia always splash other car companies. For example you have Kia version of the X-Type Jag, also known as a Kaguiar.

I am thinking about getting the '08 Accord coupe for work. Looks like a pretty nice little ride.

Wanted to hate Hyundai....but they have survived and build a pretty decent car with a great quality/service record.....was sure they would go the way of the Daiwoo (sp?)

I like that Hyundai a lot. There are other Hyundais I like too.
... and while I'm not much of a Honda fan, the new Civic looks fantastic and the new Accord even better.
Toyota, on the other hand, is not looking good these days. I still have to respect their engineering department, though.

When you are cruising the V6 will run on as little as 3 cylinders to save gas.
