NOPE! The last 2 nights he has taken to his crate. He is now walking into it on his own and he feels comfortable in it now. It trick was to remove his bed, and put his food in there, so that he feels same going into it.
Couch, that is another story. when you are not looking, I am convinced ALL dogs will lay on the couch. Your smell is on it and that is comfort for them. Especially a hunting dog with a great nose.

None of our past labs in the family have had ear infections. BUFFY (RIP) ......we had a pool, she was always, always swimming in it. I would go swimming as a teenager, put my hair in a ponytail and be completely still. She thought I was drowning...and would jump in and pull me to the side.... by my hair!
Loved her.....can't wait for some new live in the house. Can not wait for new memories!

I'd have had better ones of her doing that even deeper if I had my camera out more. She was loving it! I put epi optic ear solution in her ears every day she swims in the evening to keep them clean. She's had a few ear infections but not in the summer of all things. This stuff is great and I get it from my vet. She is so good and knows when it's "ears" time... she gets all funny and puts her head down and lets me put the solution in them and mush her ears all around till I hear the water pop then she shakes her head and I wipe out the gunk. I do this 2 times a week normally to keep them clean since Labs are prone to ear infections...and after every bath or swim.
