Does anyone know if they made an Outboard Version of a 28'1" Maxxum in 1989?

No, just make an anchor out of the engine and hang an ugly outboard on the back.

Was hoping you meant larger Checkmates! Could always use a little more info on the ole boat.

Wish I could help ya Sharkey. I've seen the 25 Convincors in outboard configuration but don't know anything about the 28 Maxxum
Did you look at NADA to see if they had them listed?
Good Luck.

I'm pretty sure th 28 was available both ways. Bill Combs generally made it a habit to offer most of his boats in I/O or O/B. I may have old brochures at the shop, I'll take a lot and check back.

Yes Too Old, That's what brought up the question. NADA didn't show it. I did measure it out the best I could this weekend and it is 27+ feet. MagicFloat, If you find an old brochure around, I would love a copy. It is listed on the original Checkmate invoice as a Maxxum 281 O/B. Thanks for the help!
