Good Luck,
I put up half yesterday(the other half don't work anymore).
I just don't understand how you can put stuff away in a box working and it sits for a year and poooof no workie.:(
I guess it's kinda like socks, two go in the washer and only one comes out of the dryer.

There are these guys that charge $150 or so to come put lights up and they take them down after Christmas as well.
I will be utilizing their service.

Thinking back on it, maybe this is my problem as well.
I thought you were supposed to tug and pull on the cords until they came down. My bad:D

For the ones above my garage, I tied one end to the back of the Rhino and drove away. Needless to say, I wasn't expecting them to work after. :D

I pay a guy $200 to do the house and $65 to take them down. The guy puts them up perfect, all bulbs pointing the same way. I just wimpled out after I took a dive from my second story roof onto the roof over our front porch a couple years ago.

Since you brought the wife up, mine comes outside and says "hey honey, do you think it would be to much work to change the bulbs in the icycle lights from white to multi colored".( i have 10 sets of icycle lights, 300 lights each). I laughed outloud, and then said "Fock that", she slammed the door as she walked back inside:D and yes they are still white.

I would have told her yes, then estimated the cost of new lights, including the gas that it takes to get to and from Home Depot, and lunch in between becuase it would take me 5 hours to go get the new boxes of lights due to the holiday shopping rush. She would have said no, and she was the one who asked. :D

Most of ours went up day after Turkey Day. Wanted to finish the garage but Mike had to work today so I attempted to do it myself. Done it several times in years past so didn't think it was any big deal.
.....Until I got on the roof at the peak of the garage and about had a heart attack. LOL, I was stuck on the roof for about a half hour and felt like that wingwalker chick in the movie "The Great Waldo Pepper".
Needless to say, the garage is going to wait. :D
