Well, it was quite a day out on Lake Pleasant today, especially for being early March. Makes you wonder how the rest of the country does all 4 seasons. :D :D :D
The Revolution in front of the infamous LP 10 lane ramp:

Guess someone forgot to tell us Arizonans that it's Winter somewhere. 80+ degree temps and Humbug was loaded today:

So Froggy shows up from out of state, puts on my cd that he stole, and the girls flock to his boat like hummingbirds to a feeder. There is a selling point right there:

Sorry Patrick, I gotta report ya to the Kool-Aid Council. Being seen in a non-training wheeled cat is just cause for full revocation of your center pod membership. :D :D :D

p.s. We used that shirt later to wipe down the boat and clean some of that black exhaust build up from the props. Thanks Dave. ;)
Here is something that you may not have realized. The dual drive option is actually a combo jet/whacka combo. Jet for slow speed in tight areas and the whackas kick in when you're tired of screwing around. :D :D :D

All in all, I gotta give big props to Wes for the Revolution. He's taken a lot of flack over the time frame, and I believe his own brother even pointed out that the ceiling of the Sistine Chapel was painted in less time by Michaelangelo (gotta dig that kind of brotherly love), but I was really impressed with the way it turned out. It's a serious party machine with performance potential to boot. Jumps out of the hole and is gone in a flash, yet will run the stereo all day long. I'm almost sold on the golf cart battery idea now too. I guess today was day number 3 without a charge and it played for hours.
Congrats on the boat Wes. Great to finally see it in person. :D

All I can say is WOW. What a boat. I hope I get to see one in person around my local area. (I don't get out often) That thing is gorgous.

That thing throws a wall off water for a roost. The pics that my rookie cameraman took didn't turn out very well. It's kind of hard to shoot from one boat to another at speed and get them to turn out on my camera. Guess that's another reason for a return trip when it warms up a bit. :D :D :D

MY wife was in a holding pattern over Pleasant waiting for Wes to show and ran out of time but did get this fuzzy shot of you leaving the launch area . Perhaps next time we can arrange better shots. Your boat is awesome.

Wes, just my .02 the boat looks amazing.............attention to detail caught my eye, as it will other boat enthusiast's. It was a pleasure to meet you, hope you find your way back to Phoenix again, which after watching the admiration of 10 scandtly dressed women to the Trident, I don't think it will be a problem topping off those tanks for another road trip!
P.S. Thanks for the pitcher of beer!

Hope you had some fun for me. I was detailing the interior of the truck all afternoon once I got back into town. Now that dune season is done for me, had to clean the hell out of it.
I won't be able to make it out until April.

Got to ride in two very nice machines yesterday... Trident on the way out, Spectre on the way in. Thanks again to Wes and Jordy for hauling us around all day! The Trident makes a supreme party platform, and that Spectre might as well be a friggin airplane!

Actually, it was great to meet Wes and look at the Trident. Awesome boat! The attention to detail really caught my eye. One of the best party barges you could buy. Lots of great features. I didn't get to ride in it, but I enjoyed being on it. Thanks Wes. Look forward to seeing you this summer.
THanks also to Terri (sp?) for picking up the tab this week at Top Shelf. Seriously, you didn't have to do that. Jordy could have put it on his expenses! I think you bought dinner for about 16 people! Thank you!
All in all not a bad outing for March. Had a great time. Looking forward to more warm weather.

Get Wes out to the lake. After he lures them onto his boat, we are cleverly ties next to him and an unfortunate event occurs that would force them to evacuate his boat. Hmmmmmmmmm...........we can put a siren on a CD and play it off Jordy's boat? They abandon ship onto ours and we are off? :crossx:
Yea, that's the ticket. We'll use Wes as our pawn!!

Gee, I don't know what happened to the drain plugs, but it sure seems to be taking on water. :D :D :D
And as the punch line goes to the joke about the young bull and the old bull standing on top of the hill looking over a herd of cows, we'll walk down the hill and tap 'em all. :D :D :D
I love it when a plan comes together. ;)

Wes--beautiful boat--pictures do it no justice. The stereo is intense and the lake $lut$ were in standard summer form...pasties and everyone elses beer :) Thanks again Wes and glad you got out to Pleasant.
Jordy-thanks for the good right back...and for the record, I would NOT let you use my DCB shirt to clean that Spectre..good try though :D You can't just buy more shirts...you have to upgrade to another boat to get more shirts...rule #1 in the kool-aid manual :D :)
Congrats to Trident--great work.

OK Folks... here are my thoughts on Lake Pleasant.
What a great crowd. (And Jordy...) I have never gone anywhere and boated with such a great group of folks. Everyone was really tight-knit, and you could tell that people were very fired up about the prospect of Summer's onset. I think that whole flotilla of boats were all friends basically. If they weren't to begin with, we sure all ended up that way! I met some great people from the boards, namely Big Warlock, Little Jake, AZJD, Carrerraelite, Roln20's and others whose board names I can't remember. Saw some folks from river trips past such as Jordy and Doghouse that really brought back some memories of when I used to actually go to the river!
Jordy couldn't have been a better tour guide. Showed me around the lake a little along with Humbug cove (which could not have been cooler BTW...) and scooted around the lake next to us for a while. Additionally, he bestowed the good party jams upon us in the form of a purloined CD that really got things cooking on the Revolution.
If anyone hasn't seen Jordy's boat... it is pretty cool. Really clean, well built and thought out. He also has a great Sandbar stereo system that is clean and clear and definitely fun to party next to.
About the Revolution... it certainly did it's job. I was proud all weekend to have built it, and it verified a lot of my decisions the whole time. It was interesting to see where people congregated, where they didn't, what music peeps were dancing to, what they weren't, etc... It was a great way to get back into the river thing with relatively low stress going on.
The women of Phoenix were fantastic! We had no shortage of chicks on the boat all day, and we were floored with how outgoing and charming all were.
My brother Clay and his girlfriend Katie were there as well, and had a blast. That was the first time they had seen the boat as well, and both were pretty floored I think. Katie's folks Evan and Dale put us up for the couple of nights as well in their beautiful house and it was great to have a place to call home for the weekend.
Big Warlock dragged us down to a great Mexican restaraunt called "Top Shelf" and showed us what the ritual is after a day at Pleasant. What a ritual! Good beers, great food and friends and good conversation. As Bob mentioned, in an unprecedented act of graciousness, Terry paid for everyone's meal and beer. What a great crowd. Wouldn't even let us pick up the tip.
All in all, I can guarantee we will be back to Humbug. We had a great time, and next time I can assure you that Mrs. F will be with us.
Thanks again everyone!
Wes

Like I said on the phone... even if it is later down the road, I will make it up to you! I was totally bummed to have missed you, and it was the one low point of the weekend.
Turns out my logistical planning isn't what I thought is was for the area. Please tell your wife sorry about the missed opportunity though. I hope to catch up with you folks soon and the beer are on me...

it was the one low point of the weekend (other than hanging out with Jordy).
Gotta be able to read between the lines around here. :D :D :D
Oh, and Wes, I was tired of that CD anyway. ;)
I gotta rework my music library for the summer, or just work up an Ipod interface into my stereo, but that would be way too easy. CD's are better. ;)

Absolutley not a problem. Kid loves breakfast at the Marina and the wife needs no excuse to fire up the plane ( she was up there anyway) all was not lost.
I'm looking at the bright side, next time Jordy may not be there :D
