I Have The 800efi W/ Teague Brovo Outdrive In A Dcb F29. I Run About 104mph At 5900rpm. I Get To 95mph In A Flash, It Takes A Little More Time To Get To 104mph. Is There Any Upgrade To Get Me From 95 To 104 Any Faster?

To Whom it May Concern:
This is a great question!
A forthcoming response would be very much appreciated and potentially inciteful. As some members may want to purchase aftermarket items which may be suggested.
If you get a PM on this issue let us know what the people at Teague recommended.

Just an assumption....it will all start with the prop selection....usually a few days of trial and error....what prop do you run now??

I Run A Stock Brovo 32" 4 BLADE
I Also Run A Stock 30"4 BLADE In The Heat, But It Only Runs 100mph Tops

Experiment with lab and 5 blades......it can be a bit challenging but we have always found 3-5 MPH and variable responses to prop changes.....I bet a 5 blade would help bump the mid range push but reduce top end....a 34 lab may take more time but increase top end.....may even try a labbed 5 blade (cut down)...this is the least expensive way to find what you need in performance.....anything you do to the Teague motor will usually cost $10K or more!!! Seems to be the magic number on the final invoice!!!!

A 34 will be too big to accomplish what he wants stock or labbed. The 29 is a big boat. He may not notcie anymore top end with it either because he may not be able to turn the optimum RPM's. I ran a five blade and the mid range is great and I did not notice a real loss in top end. I am testing a 30P Hydromotive P5-X this weekend. JMO

Yeah...prop-swapping is kinda fun but can be frustrating.....I got to know the guys at the prop shop in Havasu pretty good a few summers back....tried 4-6 combos and finally went back to the original prop!!! Just got damn tired and confused!!!! Ultimately, it was not worth the $1K to play around to get 2 MPH and a razor sharp labbed prop (kids cut feet on it!)

Bob did testing with mine and ran a 30P labbed Maximus with zero porpoise. You may want to look at Hydromotive. I am very impressed with their props, customer service and exchange program. They do not have a long diffuser ring on their props. A stock 5 blade from them had better performace than a labbed Merc 5 blade Maximus and they are cheaper too. The P5-X is what I am testing now and it is a bow lifting prop. I am getting better performance with less trim.

Do a pulley swap to increase some boost. Just remember it will put more strain on both motor and drive. JMO

Interesting!
I am curious why no response from Teague Custom Marine has not been posted. I believe Christmas is right around the corner--- it would be appropriate and courteous to indicate the following performance items are available and in stock.
I may be wrong though:idea:.
Regretfully,
