This week I co-drove a brand new '08 Silverado, 3500HD, Duramax/Allison, premium package, double throw down, over to Parker and back pulling a boat to the Powerboat trials. At first I thought the 2 1/2 door dually was a bit ugly but it got prettier by the mile. Great ride, towed like a dream, extremely quiet and the tow/haul feature was seamless. Had to get out the owners manual three times, way too many buttons, switches, levers, lights, screens and options, but it was all fun. The only thing non-stock was the suspension, when new these things sit way too high. Haven't been a Chevy truck fan in a while, but this would bring me back real fast...

What is a 2 1/2? Is that an extra cab or something like Dodges mega cab?

I think that is right. Chevy never seem to get mcuh more than 16k in its rating.
