We may not live on the west coast or can afford a nearly 1 mil house. But we have 6 acres of lake view and there is no one around for miles. Look out across the lake and only trees, water and hills to be seen. Never to be developed land directly across and to each side. for now weekend/summer use but when the last kid moves out who knows?
16,000 bricks, 2 balconies, a deck on brick pillars a high porch and it will start to resemble a house. Ice storm in the forecast will halt progress for 3 or 4 days.
Can you believe those guys temporary scaffolding? They scurry across it catch lumber etc like it is nothing.

LOL just the illegal ones. Still have legal framers and brick guys on the job. Not sure about the sheet rock crew that the contractor had lined up. I think they bailed. I don't have a problem hiring and paying a little more for legal workers.

A milllion dollar view is a million dollar view no matter where you are.:D
The legal guys are cheaper in the long run anyway, they only have to do it once.

Looks nice, congrats Ron. I hope my motor helped pay for a brick or two as well :D How far out of town is the house? Is it just a weekender or do you plan on living there full time at some point? There's nothing like having a place on the lake, we had a nice 70 degree day today so I snuck in a boat ride earlier this afternoon.

It is 50 minutes from town.
Maybe two bricks LOL Only 15,998 to go. I wish the engine work was the bread and butter but the industrial machine work is the real $$.
Weekend/summer home for now. Untill Mrs. Infomaniac figures out it's twice the home we have had for the past 19 years.

Not sure how I'm gonna get the JBB type manicured lawn up there. It's mostly rocks. But way cool ones.

Don't worry- your lawn will rival Breyon's even with the rocks....it's called Drought Conditions.
:D
DaveA>>>with the same landscaping right now<<<<

You bet. It's mostly hardwood except bathrooms are tile and stairs are carpet but stair landings are tile. Granite counters everywhere.
You have suggestions? Dog gonna be running around in there
