I have a '92 blazer...found it on ebay, will try to post pics later...is this for a daily driver or just something fun? I think a K5 would be an awesome offroading truck, don't think I would get one for any other reason, not gas efficient (not that mine is either), and they ride like a cardboard box...IMO

When it comes to K5's the decent ones are not cheap and the cheap ones are just that...
This was my high school ride. It was a '73, first year of the body style. Still love the full top option. Go back to a '72 or older with the older round body style and expect to pay 4X or more, for something in decent shape. :)

That was with 31's on it. Ended up doing add a leafs all the way around and running 33's on it when I sold it. Lots of fun though. 383 with a Turbo-350 and a shift kit that would bark the tires... gotta love high school.

I had a 90 K5 GMC in 93 but it was stolen in a year. Great truck, I see you live in Long Beach. Make sure you club/kill switch/Lo Jack that truck if you get one. Those trucks are some of the easiest to steal and they are still very popular in your city to rip off.

Riverrat,
Here's one I picked up a couple months ago from craigslist for a project. I got it for $1000. It is an 86 and the lady I bought it from said it was all original and had a stock motor. It wasn't hacked up and the paint and body are in great shape. After I degreased the motor I found out it had edlebrock heads, edlebrock intake, edlebrock water pump, comp cam, roller rockers and a set of hooker headers. I had to do about $500 worth of work to it and I still need to fix a carburation problem but I can't complain for what I paid. I think I need a new carb and I should be fine. I don't know why I bought it because I don't need it, but I've always wanted one since High School.
I looked on ebay for months but craiglists had a better selection. Do a search on craigslist under all different keywords: blazer, chevy blazer, chevrolet blazer, k-5 blazer, and gmc jimmy. Sometimes I searched blazer and 10 would come up but under K-5, or chevy blazer I would get 40 or more. The recycler online, and truck trader online always had a few as well.

That's so sad. Look how clean the body, fenderwells, shocks and undercarraige are. It looks like it just got done with a resto and then got rolled.

I just picked this one up few weeks ago.
I have been looking for one of these for a long time.
The previous owner was just about 80% done with the restoration. A perfect place for me to come in and finish.
