Since I have the Tahoe for the highway, I'm considering putting a mild (4") lift on my '96 GMC 2wd X-cab. It's currently stock w/ 2" drop shackles in the rear. I want a little room to clear around 30" off-road tires. Not looking to run Baja, just want to do some desert exploring.
Who's good at this stuff, and what can I expect to spend?

Sorry - I'm more of a squat-thrust kinda guy (not in the gay way, tho)...:D

For that truck you probaly want the 4" fabtech spindle kit which should be about $800-$1000 installed with shocks. If you know a little bit about working on vehicles the spindles are very easy to install if you want to save a little money.

Grunion on the board has done one for us and a few for some of my customers.
His work is top notch.;)
