The boat will be going to the 100 MPH round up. I'm sure some of you still won't believe the numbers even after they're posted in the magazine, because you know so much more than the rest of us.
Here is a shot of the Teague 900 that ran 118.http://img337.imageshack.us/img337/3285/studiokwoodshotdo3.th.jpg
I was told the 100 m.p.h. round up was in April....so????

Every one is so heated about Trippledigets boat not being able to break 100MPH.

As quick as J.W. was to post the picture of the GPS of the 344, I'm sure he would of posted a pic of the 27 Shadow if it hit 118 m.p.h.

Correct, I believe JW was on some mythical 118 MPH boat.

I've been asked to chill out on this topic so I will. I guess this is just another case of a manufacturer claiming a top speed that wasn't obtainable. I knew I was right.

I was told the 100 m.p.h. round up was in April....so????
I just got my magazine today. It only got 115 at 5600 rpm at the round up. So no, Powerboat did not get the 118 I said it would do. I'm not going to come in here with excuses, they didn't get the number.

Well, well, well, who was right after all? And to think I got banned over at pb.com for saying it wouldn't go 118.

I will say it was very stand up of JW to come in here and admit he was wrong.

I've always "gotten it", just that I was afraid to voice it, now that I don't care anymore, why not?

Dear JW:
As I previously concluded you have a lot of class and character. You need only read the above to make this conclusion---so the boat did not go 118 it went 115---I would conclude that with colder weather that number is very realistic.
Great job overall and keep up the good work.
Very truly yours,
KAP
P.S. Grads2112---You got it--- as well---he is a very stand up guy.

Originally he said it would do over 120 and then backed down to 118, so yes I consider this a victory because at the end of the day it did not do 118. Next time you're in Vegas and you're just 3 number away from a winning hand ask the dealer if he'll just pay you anyway.:D

As much as I hate to admit it, Greg has the right to claim victory. I was confident Powerboat would get at least 118 and they didn't. It is my fault. I was busy with my kids that week and did not go to the evals myself and test out some props. I just sent what I thought would work and it didn't. I would have also made sure the boat wasn't completey full of fuel. I'm sure Greg knows the boat runs 118+ plus, but it didn't do it at the evals and that was what we were talking about. No boat will runs it's best numbers everytime it's out. The boat ran 115 at 5600 rpm with an engine that runs to 6200rpm. Anybody can read the numbers and know what the boat can do, but it didn't do it that day.

as I remember from the other thread, there is some secret way to gain a couple more MPH out of the 27 Shadow. Will you share the info now?
by the way, at 115mph, this is faster than I've had the WCF.

What pitch prop? What gear ratio? To get 115 at 5600 rpm. Must be a 1.36 with a 32 B1 or even those stats are wrong.

it went 115 with two big guys, topped off tanks and crappy water. boat has never been prop tested or dailed in. I wished that nothing had ever been said about speeds on the boards. maiden voyage boat went 116, not 118. honest mistake on strippokers part. they had a communication breakdown @ ultra. kept quiet until now. boat runs 115 on a bad day. how lame! boat wears helmet, rides short bus and has a small penis. we should all point and laugh.

1.35 (i know it sounds weird but it is 1.35, not 1.36)
32 pitch

you know, I think I kind of like ya kamguy (in a totally hetro way). you've got a good sense of humor about things.
I think my boat tends to run a little faster in the crappy water into the wind. it gets more lift and rides more comfortably.

I'd be more than happy to sell you the WCF boat if you need to send money in another direction.
