View Full Version : Official un-official COBRA PERFORMANCE BOAT owner weekend, Aug 1,2 & 3rd, 2008

Unfortunately there will NOT be an official regatta this year. I am sure many of you understand the challanges that the industry is faced with today in our economy. So I will leave it at that as it is only my opinion anyway. But lets take the load off the manufacturer for once.
I would like to invite Cobra Boat owners to join us (a group of Cobra boat owners) in Lake Havasu City, AZ on Friday, August 1 thru Sunday, August 3rd for a weekend full of good times. Lots of boating, seeing old friends and making new ones and not to mention seeing some beautiful boats all in one place again.
Things are still in a planning stage, however here is what I have for now;
:D Friday, August 1st
NOON - Round Up (meet) in Thompon Bay, just out front of "The Turtle Bar"
12:30pm - Lunch Run to Havasu Springs, leaving Thompson Bay and driving south on Lake Havasu to the Inner Harbor resturaunt at Havasu Springs for lunch
8:00pm - Havasu Hot Laps for some fun and hot go cart racing!
:D Saturday, August 2nd
Beach Activities - come and go as you wish with your family and friends or you can chill all day with us at a "location to be announced". Lots of fun and sun for the whole group!
8:00pm - Dinner at a "location to be announced"
:D Sunday, August 3rd
See you at Park Moabi after a beautiful drive up river through the Topock gorge. A great place to relax and reflect on a great weekend!

I got what the Nautical calls a "special couples rate" for us it includes, a two night stay, a $50 certificate for dinner at the resturaunt and a cocktail bucket (worth $25).
Also we will be able to have lunch at Vista Del Lago and enjoy their clubhouse, pool, putting green and horseshoes all at no charge.

A group code is now available for rooms at the Nautical. Please contact me if you need a room. The Nautical has also put together a special rate for us for both days.
We got a great weekend planned, dont miss us. We are looking forward to seeing everyone on the lake.:D

Update of events!

Friday, August 1st

12:30pm - Lunch Run to Havasu Springs, leaving Thompson Bay and driving south on Lake Havasu to the Inner Harbor resturaunt at Havasu Springs for lunch
8:00pm - Havasu Hot Laps for some fun and hot go cart racing! Just a hint, you can bring your own helmets and I would suggest bringing socks and shoes to race in... No sandals while racing!
Saturday, August 2nd
11:30AM Beach Activities in the Vista del Lago cove (located across the lake on the California side just north of the casino at Havasu Landing).
1:00PM work our way up to the Vista del Lago club house for a BBQ. The club house offers a beautiful view of Lake Havasu while enjoying the pool, a putting green, ping pong, horse shoes and more! Shuttles (golf carts / rhinos) will be going back and forth, BYOB!
8:00pm to Midnight - Dinner at a Indigo Joes (located near the corner of S. Palo Verde and London Bridge Rd). We will have a DJ and a few prizes.
Sunday, August 3rd
