What year? I presently have a '99 Excalibur with a 502 and even thought it's heavy,(3800#'s dry), I'm still running 69.5 on the GPS with a labbed prop and Vortech Maxiflow kit. It's supposed to be built to the same specs as the Scarab, does a little chine walking on top end, but nothing scary. Btm line is I like it. Hope this helps.

A boat wobbles or slowly tilts from one side to the other chine, this increases in speed, sid to side, and then the one side catches the water HARD and you spin out.

how common is it to spin out? is there a cure for it besides slowing down?

'99'S HAVE A SMALL PAD ON BOTTOM SO DON'T REALLY KINOW IF IT IS REALLY CHINE WALKING OR JUST TRYING TO GET UP ON THE PAD AND DOESN'T REALLY HAVE ENOUGH LIFT OR SPEED TO DO IT. AS OF NOW IT HASN'T SHOWN AS SIGN OF ERATIC STEERING JUST A LITTLE TILT SIDE TO SIDE AND ONLY IN REAL SMOOTH WATER. IN A SMALL CHOP KIND OF JUST HOPS OVER AND IS VERY STABLE. ANY BODY ELSE HAVE THIS HAPPEN TO THEM AND WHAT SOLUTION DID THEY COME UP WITH

the couple times I had mine out I felt what feels like fish tailing in a car at around 50-55mph, it would not show up at higher speeds that may have been the chop or it got up on its pad where it liked it
