Piru is a decent lake and yes they do have campsites, but they are mostly dirt and you end up getting filthy. Good Luck

Silverwood, all the way, real real nice up there, great water, nice area, temp is cooler than castaic/pyramid/piru and its only a little further away. 10 East to the 15 North, get off where it says "Silverwood lake" make a right and follow the windy road up to the lake and campground.

Ouch, That's gotta hurt.
On a lighter note... I would like to ask if anyone has been to Buena Vista lately? I went there once but it was years ago. I remember nice campgrounds with park-like lawns and smooth water. It was shallow and warm. We were there to ski and had fun. I have never taken my boat there and don't really know the lake that well.

Go here > http://www.fishersnet.com/fishmap.html
it has maps and info on all the lakes in California. It's geared for fisherman, but it still lists the lake's size, campgrounds, and other info.

Try Lake Nacimiento.... The camp sites are really nice and the lake is awesome... Though I don't live in Calif any longer and have no idea what the water levels are at Nacimiento, it's worth checking into. As a matter of fact, the last time I went to Nacimiento, it was during the 4th of July weekend about 10 years ago!!! Ivan
