Newcastle and Totally IncapASSitated are getting anywhere between $550 and $700 depending on how big the room is and this is in your same area.

I've always included utilities unless it gets out of hand. Then you give them a warning and next time they have to pay whatever its out of the ordinary. Shoot a little high and include utilities.

I've had steady renters for 650/mo, and I pay utilities. None of them seem to complain. It's in a 3200 sq ft house, own room, own bath with exception of sharing with guests since its downstairs. Use of fridge, w/d, and street parking. Seems to be about the norm for the area.

Too funny. I just lost a roommate. Was gonna move into a place with his friend. The extra cash is nice (650) each month, but the pain of having roommates kinda sux. Privacy is nice...
