I will apologize in advance if I am unknowingly capping on someone that frequents the boards, but I have a question: why in the hell do people bring f**king dogs with them to the river/lake? Am I missing something here? All I see the dogs do is run around, scare kids, jump on boats, bark, dig, take huge dumps, knock shit over....wait, this almost sounds like RD!!!! Hahahaha..seriously, someone enlighten me would ya? Great pics by the way, thanks for rubbing the fact that I missed a great time in my face. j/k....-DD Out

Well, like I said, since I dont own a dog, I dont get why people like to bring them to the river. They seem to be more of a hassle having to keep an eye on em, than they are worth. Now, people that bring monkeys is a totally different story!!!! Hahahaha. -DD Out

Dogs like to play at the river to. I would bring my little MaggiePie, but she only weighs 7.4 lbs, and is afried of the water, so DogBeach will have to do.

Well Miss HB, at least you have a little dog. When I was at HavaZoo last week, this guy brought his Rottie, and the dog was scratching the sh*t out of his new LaveyCraft...made me cringe just listening to it. I think that I am gonna do something different....maybe on sunday, I will bring a turtle or iguana with me. Wait, I am already bringing a nutcase in the form of an LA City Fireman....nevermind. -DD Out
BTW, I STILL have yet to meet the Boatnams....whats the hold up? You guys gonna be at Castaic on Sunday?

Miss HBJet,
I know that I am very proud of my boat. But, to have your child get straight A's is HUGE.
Nice job. That is something to be proud.

I'm in the process of teaching my dog Baylee to pull around a kneeboard with a cooler full of jello shots on top while we're at the lower sandbar. That's why I have a dog. Not to mention, he bites on command.

Well, I'm guilty as hell I guess. I bring my 110 lbs yellow lab to the river all the time. He's well trained, doesn't get in any other boat than mine. I say the river is meant for dogs. They love it. As long as your dog is cool, and doesn't spaz on everyones gelcoat, it's all good.

Now Now DD you need to be nice to us dog owners. I have a Min Pin who weighs 6.1 pounds and goes everywhere I go. Loves the boat and swimming. He only goes on the boat Im on unless hes invited. Besides that It sounds like the pets you bring are alot more work than a little dog. HA HA

Do you mind me asking where is the developement of the first picture? The one of the homes with the boats at the docks. I see a lot of pictures from there. It is awsome. I have been going to Havasu for 7 years, but always rent a place. Is that Havasu Springs. Beautiful Pad whose ever it is?

Forgive my ignorance, but like I said I am usually either at Steamboat, the channel, the sandbar or Topac. I see all of you many times at the lake. Do you just tow up to the lake and launch there if you want to be on the lake? How far is that?

Instigator, you can tow up to Havasu it's about 15 - 20 minutes to tow up to Havasu Springs and launch there. Typically though people that boat in Parker tend to stay in Parker. http://free.***boat.net/ubb/wink.gif

Man I am getting confused. Are there 2 River Daves on here? Yea. I live in So. Cal (Valencia). I just sold a 1998 Eliminator 215 Skier in February and picked up a 2001 Nordic 28' Heat. I have a wife, 2 year old and another baby due in one month http://www.plauder-smilies.com/eek.gif . Wanted the close bow so I could keep on boating and give the kids a chance to get out of the sun and better yet, a place to play where they wont fall overboard. I find religion in a silver can. Don't tell anyone or they will judge me, but I am an accountant. I am a Corporated Controller (handle all the financial operiations) for a Nation wide distribution company. Anyway, there is another RD out there headed to the Nordic Regatta, if that is you, well have a beer together.

I'd be willing to bet she was right next to him or patrolling the perimiter in which he was "napping." That dog is nice, playful, and pretty obedient......but when RD's sleeping - she is vicious!
