I purchased a 1972 Tahiti from him last year in Texas and I wanted to show him what the restoration of the boat is like. Anyone here know him? Here is a picture of him and his Picklefork that he bought after I bought his boat.

If you remember, this was his boat before I bought it.

Right now it's getting rebuilt. (More performance items on it.) I wanted to see if he had some specs on it. Thanks!

I'm trying to determine wear and whether it's worth it or not to get it rebuilt. Thanks!

I will print a copy and show it to him next time I see him..try to get his # for you.. GopherrrrrrI just rebuilt it. The cam in it had four flattened lobes, two completely collapsed lifters (the wear was so extreme it burned through the bottom and released all the fluid), and a broken spring. Had a hell of a time cleaning out the engine. Thank god for the magnet in the oil pan!
I bought a new Crane Cam with a 2500-6000? rpm range, lifters and springs of course, and had the heads rebuilt/ported/machined so the whole setup matched. Oh, also replaced the timing chain as well. Replaced all the rod bearings only, didn't want to get the crankshaft out because of time constraints. Here's a few pics of it when I had problems and then the final product....
thanks much, and tell David I said "hi"!
