Caravelle Interceptor

Hey ,
Im new to this board and was just wondering if anyone here has a Caravelle Interceptor. I just bought a 23' Interceptor with the 350 Merc Mag and havent had it in the water yet. A friend of mine suggested it to me cause he had one and loved it but had to sell cause of other things. Just wanted to hear the pro's and con's of the model. Also does anyone go to Brookville lake in Indiana?

Thanks, I havent had mine out yet, but I rode in a 21' interceptor. It ran 64mph on GPS. I was told mine will run close to 70 mph with the 350 mag. I guess I'll see when its warm.

Havent looked at them very close but I have seen several at the lakes and they are pretty sharp. I also understand they have a pretty fast hull.

The whole reason I bought it is because it looked sharp. If its not fast enough I can always make it faster. My friend had the red one also and it looked fast on the water. I have had a four winns for the past six years and it wasn' t fast at all. I was just looking for a cheap but fast boat and was wondering if anyone had one on this site and if they where satified with it... thanks all. Mandelon you lost me at the faster down hill?

Bruce 70mhp is a long shot I had a 23 nova with a 350 mag ran 56mhp with ss prop and all. I think you will find out 70mhp is a long$$$ way away with that motor. Does it have an Alpha or a Bravo? If it has an alpha you will not be able to put more than 300hp to it with out risk :( And your mag is at 270 now! Good Luck ang give us some details we will be more help that way! :D

Red X or swinging squirrl nutz? Hmmmm...... Did you lose your sack? Those things scared me!!
I was told they are a fairly light boat and they would do 70 with a 7.4 but I dont know about a 350 Mag. What did the 21' have for power?

Mine has the Bravo 1 drive on it. I rode in a new 21' Bryant with the 6.2 merc my Buddy bought and it did 65 with me driving it. But it wasnt on GPS. IT is a considerible heavier boat than the Interceptor. The 21 footer had a 5.7 liter but it wasnt the mag. I think it only had like 260 horses.

Don't ask questions just slap a blower on it and then there will be no doubt you will see 70!
