You know its funny. Now I know quite a few people that have moved from the west to Ohio. We have blue coller jobs, cost of living is reasonable, and wages are very competitive.

Just got back last night from the Toledo area (Whitehouse) and Defiance. It was friggin' cold with 8" of snow. It is pretty though. I'd like to take a trip up there with the boat. MY wife's grandmother lives right on the Maumie(sp) river outside Defiance.

I'm a little over an hour from Youngstown, and about 4 hours from Columbus. Where do you guys hit the water? I've always been tempted to try out Lake Milton, but a friend of mine in Sharon, PA wants me to tow up to Mosquito or something like that.

I live About 40 miles south of youngstown.Do most of our boating on the ohio river.

I lived in Fremont until 1988. Managed a marina in Port Clinton before moving to Calif. I went back last August to visit. Went to a poker run with the Offshore Only.com group. A lot of nice boats there now compared to when I was there in 1988.
Beautiful there but WINTER SUCKS!!!

I live in North Canton, about 1 hour south of Cleveland.I mostly boat at Berlin Lake & Ohio River. Sometimes Lake Erie, the water gets little rough for my little 24 footer on Erie.

Hey all. I am from Northeast. Do most of my boating at Pleasant hill. Any other lakes which would support a 350 Mag in a 22' Checkmate? Anyone out there know a good Hi Performance engine rebuilder in the NE Ohio? Hope all are well!!

I moved from Columbus to Florida last year. And I really miss Ohio. I thought boating in Florida would be great, so I dragged my Tahiti all the way down here. Now I want to sell it. The water is very rough and salty in the Indian River where I live. And forget about waterskiing in the fresh water. The freshwater lakes in Florida have the nastiest water with WAY too many things that can kill you for my liking(Gators, snakes, amoebas, ect..) I'm heading back up north as soon as I find a job and sell my house!

wet dream, your boat looks awesome!! I would love to see it at Berlin Lake, only one problem they would throw you off the lake. There is a 80db law, I think you might be a little over :D It would be fun until they caught you though.
