Does anyone out there know of an insurance agency with reasonable rates. Geico and Progressive both want about 8-9 hundred every 6 months. The cheapest we've found so far is around 600 every six months. She had a 2001 lifted Explorer sport and was only paying 85 a month, now she bought an acura RSX and they want an arm and a leg. I'm only paying 85 a month for a 2003 F-250 4x4. Any info would be greatly appreciated.

Take the hot wheel back and but her a truck.....
Those cars are stolen so often that is why, it is actually pretty cheap....

Yep...the car's the problem. Anything that teenagers like to drive is going to have higher premiums due to the accident statistics. Also parts for the Acura are a lot higher than for pickups and SUV's making the collision a lot higher. My wife drives a Jaguar XJ8 for work, you should see the collision rates for that jawdrop

INSURANCE ??? Who the hell needs that stuff ???
Just kiddin' EduKATor...what's up bro ? So when are you guys heading back out to the River ? I'm pretty sure me and the "BD Crew" will be out there Labor Day.
By the way..State Farm treats me pretty good...I get a multi car discount (4 cars). I've never had a problem with a claim either..they pay fast !!

I've had GMAC insurance thru Good Sam Club for 14 years. Multi-car and teenagers? no problem! They also have stuck with me thru periods when my driving record wasn't great and I haven't been penalized for claims, which were well handled. They have also stayed reasonably priced, however I value the LTR more than a cheaper price. If you have a ticket or accident, the low-cost carriers will dump you quickly and you'll then PAY DEARLY for insurance!

allied has pretty good rates as well, (four cars, motorhome, and house)they were the best i could find in a package deal, you do have to qualify for them to insure you, i.e 5 tickets in the past yr forget about it..lol, if money is no object (which it is in this case) state farm is the best bar none!

Thanks for the info guys, we'll be making some more calls today to see what kind of rates we can get.
Jeff did you guys make that trip to laughlin last weekend? Hopefully we will be out for labor day. I wanted to go to laughlin with you guys, but money has been a lil tight for this baller on a budget since I picked the money making career of teaching.
Don't worry Kiltoy, she won't do that to her car. She traded in her suv because it wasn't economical on gas and the 6 inch lift didn't help with ride comfortability. We both got new teaching jobs that are further away from our home so a car with better gas milage makes more sense for her since I have the F-250 to tow the boat around and haul crap.

I was having problems with All State. They nearly doubled what I was paying because of a ticket. I called a place called EZ insurance and they hooked me up with a comayny called Viking Insurance. I am now paying $1200.00 less a year then I was with All State. EZ Insurance phone # is 310 441-4040. You can give them a try Im sure they will help.

Typically Mercury Insurance is the cheapest around, but you need a clean record to get them. You get Mercury through an independent auto agent.

Ask for Deirdra at 626-574-1000. Tell them Stefan referred you and let me know as well.

My bro gotta DUI 5-6 years ago and they didn't drop him. PM me if you need an agent referral. My agent is in OC where I used to live. We pay about $1350 per year for both our cars. Jeep Wrangler and Ram 2500. Both 4x4s. BTW, imports are way higher than domestics.

Thanks for the input guys. I got a hold of Mercury and they can get me a rate of $860.00 a year. Ms EduKATor and I have been shopping around and that seems like the best rate of them all so far. We appreciate all the help.
