Did anyone watch the wakeboarding events at the X Games this weekend. I might have been high but I'm pretty sure they were getting towed by a Mastercraft Picklefork Tunnell or something to that effect! What up?

I saw today. It doesn't look like a picklefork but more like one of those old tri-hulls. Makes it more stable I think?

Looks like a pickle or tri-hull from the top with the same V bottom as before...the different top allows them more room in the forward cockpit to stick more folks, fill up more ballast, and swamp more smaller boats with fat ass wakes... :D

It's the X star.
Limited production $85.000.
Claimed top speed 70MPH+ or so we're told by a salesperson at the boat show.
Usually sold out before the western boatshows are even held.
Gonna be interesting to watch resale. Could go either way.

What I can tell from the photos it's just a regular wake board boat with a different front end so it looks cool. It's just a sales thing, make it look cool and the morons will buy it. Master craft is realizing how misinformed and stupid their customers are. If you think I'm being over critical of wakeboarders, just quiz them on some basic skiing signals. The one they know the least about is the skier acknowledgement motion. You hold 2 fingers up to let them know that you see the skier in the water and you're going to try and avoid them. Well these dickheads all think it's a friendly wave. And everytime they go by me they don't even do it. I'd like to know if you see my skiers tiny little head in the water especially they're way out in the water away from the boat.

Easy Phat_Kat we own a Mastercraft in addition to our dragboat and I/O and I'll gladly go toe to toe with you on a test of knowledge in regards to boating.

Yep the new X Star, it's supposed to be the shiiizzzit of Wakeboard boats. It's about 22 ft and has built in ballast, new hull design that is they claim and the pro riders have confirmed throws the largest wake of any wakeboard specific boat. Go from $70K to $85K "I think a premium because of the demand and very limited production for 2003", I think the price will go down as they bring it to full production mode in 2004. I am not sure about the 70 mph claim, but you can get a big block in it. But usually they are geared for low end speed control and not top end. It's for the Escalade buying crowd of wakeboat buyers out there.
My advice if you see one of them cruisin by and you ride low, better watch it!
Cheers

MOST OF THEM ARE UNINFORMED AND STUPID. You must admit that most of these kids don't have a clue as to what their doing out there.
