We are now 3 days past our baby's due date, and I am becoming impatient. I took a month off of work to spend time with the baby, not to pace around the house. My wife is somehow staying calm, and seems to have the "she'll come when she's ready" attitude. I'm all about instant gratification, and I want the baby now. Who has good methods to speed this up? :D

Oh yeah, I remember that.....Is this your first?? As I recall have her try walking, and maybe some easy squats, too.
Here's some tips I learned for when the time comes...
1. Don't let her eat anything too spicy.
2. Agree with everything she says. Do not piss her off til later.
3. Don't be bossy, man, just help.
4. This is the most important one....don't look down there when the baby comes out. I made the mistake of watching when our first kid was born. All kinds of bad things are going on down there. Just watch the kid. Not the beaver!! eek! eek! eek!
You'll ruin yourself for six months if you look. Remember Indiana Jones...when the Nazis opened the box, and it burned all their faces off.???? Its like that.
Decide now if you're going to cut the cord too. Be ready or just say no. There's no time to hem and haw in the delivery room.

P.S. Support the head! And you'll need a baby seat for the car or you can't take the kid home.

Got a quad runner? Worked for the neighbor. His wife was about a week overdue so he ran her around the orchard for a couple of hours and that got her started. I guess the doctor told him that if she didn't start that day they were going to due the knife thing in the morning.

I'm not a father but I've heard from a few people that sex can induce labor. Seriously.

i reamber walking, and drinking dome kind of gross oil, it dident work, but take her to the mall and let her walk all day, that probly would get the process goin!!! good luck, and keep us posted!!!...

My wife was nine months with her first when she saw it in 1987. She went into labor when Carrie's hand reached up out of the grave at the end. eek! eek! eek!

Let's see, here's how I remember the past on how labor was induced in my kids.
I go to the bar to get drunk and tell her to call me when it's all over :D All I remember was being yelled at about it all being MY FAULT!! LOL
Just kidding.
We had the doctor induced labor 1 time after it was 7 days past the due date.

Sex seems to work best! It worked with both of my daughters. Just go easy, no caveman stuff eek! :D j/k. Congrats in advance though :cool:

and no, Mrs BBT and I don't have any kids together. All 5 of our kids are from our previous marriages/relationships.

Sex, and lots of it. :) Your seamen have a chemical called "patoecine"; that is the same stuff that they use to induce labor. It works.

We just got back from the Dr, and we are going to the hospital tomorrow to induce labor. I'll come back after Christmas and let you know how everything turns out.

Thanks! She is my first, but my wife's second. It was such a trip watching her be born. Everyone says it is amazing, but you really don't know until you're there. We are all very tired, but we couldn't be happier.
I can't wait to buy her a little life jacket and take her out on the boat! :D

You know it. My two year old loves ours. She even loves to help me work on it. She is kinda my "nurse".
Enjoy her now because time flys.
