I remember quite a few when I lived in LA as a kid and then a few more when I was stationed in Long Beach. They are pretty cool if they are not too big.
So come on guys, Cali needs to have the big one already and fall off so we here in Nevada can have ocean front property. :D :D

Slept right throught the three last night and the one Monday night. Right underneath us. Only a 3.something - no big deal. I like the little ones as they tend to relieve the stress.

My daughters are on vacation in New Zealand, they've been there for a few weeks and have experienced a large number of quakes recently.
There has been considerable activity lately, the largest so far at 7.1
New Zealand, Japan and the West Coast of the US are all on the Pacific Plate so it is common for quakes to be felt on one side when there is sizeable activity on the other.
