Pimp daddy! What are the specs? Year? Engine? You did a great job! Any before/after pics? What did you have to do? I like the graphics, very original.

wellll..... the question isnt what did we do ... but what didnt we do.... the only thing left from the original carlson CVX20 is the hull and the grab bar on the passenger side dash...everything...and I stress everything has been replaced. When I started I wanted a boat with the "west coast" look and feel and that is what I have ended up with... 1977 glastron carlson CXV20 .030 over 429 ford dynoed @431 hp without the nitrous, custom built everything else ... big stereo 2 12" subs up front and Clarion marine cd 4 6x9's provide tunes to ripple the water .Complete purple neon light kit hidden throughout the interior for "mood lighting" you name it we did it :D new floor all new wood new jet, new, new, new, new, well you get the point :D

Holy Shit Quig! I gotta admit when you threw up your preliminary pic's I was kinda questioning how the boat was going to turn out. (I originally didn't care for the gelcoat) Seeing it as a complete package has totally flip flopped my opinion! :) That thing turned out bitchen! When are you going to bring that bad boy home to the west coast and come party with us? wink
P.S. There's a reason why I didn't design the gelcoat on our boat. I know what I like after I've seen it. If I tried to design one it would look like a 12 year old with a box of crayons did it.. wink :D

Beautiful. I can see the dedication this took, the poor guy spent so much time working in the boat he had to put a temporary toilet in it.
:D :D

Hey you guys !!!! thanks for the praise ...it means alot to us to hear that, cause you have lots to compare it to so it carries some weight.
As far as the porta-pottie goes... I knew I would take a flaming for it but in order to legally have beer on board here in N.S. I have to have a perminate head in the boat... and this was the best way we could think of to get around the law & not ruin the look of the interior... pretty slick I think :D

I had a CVX 20 one time but it sure was not as bitchin as that one. How long did the rebuild take. Great job

Like your ride...very nice job! Just be sure you flush the porta potty somewhere legal before getting into rough water! That ought to be very amusing with a boat load of full bladders! Did you install a mini cam in the dash? :D eek!

quig,
I did a search for previous posts (and pics of the mess you started with) and found a post of yours talking about 14' of purple neon. Did it make it? Let's see some night pics, even if they are in your driveway.
Did you paint the entire hull? I love the design and did a search, this is what I found.. UGLY!!!

I can't stand metal flake. Of course that is what I have. Oh well. Next boat right?

Thanks guys like I said befor comming from the people who have lots to compare my boat to, all of this means that we have completed what we had set out to do & thats soo cool :D ok Rickster...don't have to worry about the crapper being used it, is only for the law and beer but I never thought about a dash cam tho...hhmmmm??
79 H yes I painted everything inside & out ,there is 14 feet of purple neon hidden in the interior and engine compartment...Roz I think I could get a 6"er in the pottie box ??...Chestah thanks for the cudo's but the monkey can't come within 25 feet of my boat (got a court order) I know what he likes to do !!!! wink ...565 I thought it was cool too but be careful you dont talk out loud or someone will call you a homo("I said so" thread)haha j/k :D :D I will try to get some river shots in the night time with the "glow" it looks wild I think anyway ...
