Give kids something to look forward to and they con succeed. My son is a good kid, but was having trouble at school, usually stuff talking in class, didn't like all the assignments, etc. Private schools are not always easy and can be a little more demanding on kids, but can be good for them.
Well I told him he does good in school he gets a MotorCycle, if he continues he can even ride it.
It really seemed to work, was I surprised last night when I got home from work. He received 4 awards from school 2 merit awards, MOST IMPROVED STUDENT and Student of the Month with the bumper sticker to back it up.
For those who know me personally, probably know my son and he is a good kid. He checks out these post from time to time so:
CONGRATULATIONS LITTLE JETBOATRICH

I hold grades over this guy's head so he can continue to race BMX.
If he wants to go drag boat riding he has to help wrench. This does not require anything. He is more than willing to help.

I have a wonderful son of whom I am extremely proud. He was always a great kid, and studied morning, noon, and night. Never a bit of trouble. He graduated from college in four years, and to show my appreciation, I gave him a used Eliminator Daytona. He is now very successful, and a constant joy. Kids need to know their hard work is expected, but appreciated. Just my $.02. wink

Great JOB!!! The hard work pays off now and always will. Keep it up and you can have a date with Mandelons avatar if you stay on the honor roll for the next school year :D
My kids just got their last report card and they got god grades. Told them they would have to work all summer on the subject they got less than a C in. I am gald they did well because it would have impacted my summer too.

Kudo's Rich! I love that feeling that we are doing something right!
My youngest just did a play called " Beyond the Barricade " she had the lead role, I never new she could sing like that!
All my kids, are either distiction or honor's , they make me very proud, all the time! Except for a couple time's, maybe my bad side coming out on them......( . )( . ).....

I had been using the Boat as motivation for learning to swim...now I have 3 great swimmers. Now I need to find a new toy to motivate my 12 year old daughter.
