Anybody hear this????

My wife was talking to a park ranger this weekend at park Moabi. She told me that a couple of weeks ago a big offshore boat was running through Topock Gorge at about 80 and that the boat just broke apart and killed 7 people.
Any body hear about this???

After the HTM regatta
We went to Topock for breakfast there was a velocity there 35-foot or so
Had stress cracks across the top on both sides looked like it was ready to break in half
Bad a$$ boat had to wonder about the cracks

I saw new 39 Velocity out there a few weeks ago with a wild paint job. There were a couple guys in it that looked pretty young. Is this the same boat with the stress crack?
I heard nothing about a boat breaking apart. :confused:

Sounds like BS to me. We would have heard something around here about seven people dieing.
