Got a guy in town here that has an original amphicar. Pretty damn strange. :confused: He took me for a ride last year. It's not a very good car and it's not a very good boat. Fortunatly it's one redeeming quality is it does both!
It was cool to take a ride tho. It's as low profile as my jet. It has doors is the only difference. :D A ducks wake would probably sink it. It was scary!

Ive seen the Amphibicar before , they are worth some big $ now a days every once in a while you can catch one on (Ahem) E-bay ..
I had an amphibicat at one time one of those 6 wheel go anywhere ATVs . damn thing had a mile of drive chain in it ! was alot of fun but scarry on the water kinda tipsy but I'm sure if it ever flipped of filled with water the 6 balloon tires would have floated it enough to paddle back to shore ,... even have some video somewhere in the collection ...
also saw a peterbuilt conventional road tractor set up as a barge pusher .. that was kinda strange to see going up the river ...
