Got this pic from my buddy---high winds and downpour. Gotta love summer in the desert
What do you do in case your out in the lake??--hightail it to the nearest beach and ride it out. http://www.***boat.com/image_center/data/510/343T-Storm-med.jpg

Does all that run down the hills and flood the streets or does it soak in??

We got caught in one last year...put the bimini up, went underneath, & got very soggy...

Blown,
It does not really soak in, just floods the crap out of the streets....On the river street where we are at, the water will almost get as high small bump curves all the way across as it runs down towards the lauch ramp....the crap you see floating down river is pretty suprising...
And across the river there is a gorge, and during the monsoons you get some pretty awesome waterfall shots...I love the monsoon season... :)

Does all that run down the hills and flood the streets or does it soak in?? We had waterfalls coming off the canyon walls...kinda like a "poorman's Hawaii"...

Does all that run down the hills and flood the streets or does it soak in?? Well, based on the condition of our front yard last weekend after the weeks thunderstorms, it all runs down the street and does not sink in. Good thing we have river rock out in front because from what I understand we had a river out there!

Gnarley is a good way to put it too. Rode out a few storms like this in the past few years---not a happy camper in the low profile boat, thats for sure. Usually find a beach to share for the 20-30 minutes and then go about like it never happened again.
Friend said it came along with 50-60mph winds. Yikes... Damn, and I just fixed several roof shingles a few weeks ago too.
