Check this out... See the hill in the center of the picture with a lighter colored "triangle" on the peak?

Now look at the hill in the upper left corner of this photo. It's a pic of my Howard that appeared in a 1973 National Geographic article....

Things have changed a bit, eh?

I added a couple of labels to give you some perspective. The photo was taken at the upper section of the river approximately 5 miles south of the dam. The remainder of the river (lower section) is relatively straight. My wife took that photo out of our airplane with a Cannon ELPH, point and shoot type camera. The upper section is definitely the most pictureseque.
Same photo w/labels (http://www.***boat.com/image_center/showphoto.php?photo=21395)

Neat pictures guys...rrrr - I've got the CD verison of all the National Geographic magazine, I found the article that had your boat in it, The photo was still split into 2 but I stitched it together the best I could. I thought you might enjoy it:

TOO COOL! Thanks, 572. Just luck that the boat was cruisin' through the photo and the original owner saw the article. When I bought the boat the magazine was included, along with some old Instamatic photos of the bare hull in the guy's driveway and the original pink slips for the boat and trailer dated 1968.
Sure makes it fun to have those links to the boat's past.
