I was kinda under the impression they didn't let boats run on Irvine lake??
Unless it was a sanctioned race or something like that.
I'll definatley go up and check it out, unfortunately I don't have a functioning.. shit lets be real here I don't even have a V-Drive.

I just called that # and they didn't have any info on this.
I would like some details please.
Who's putting this event on?
Other then lunch, what does one get for 50 bucks? Seems pretty steep to run the boat at a local lake for the day if you ask me. Is this to rent the lake so we could make passes all day?

Rumor I heard (from some Irvine city officials).....
They have flooded over the lake again (flooding the mx track that was there for a few months) to my amazement.
I actually heard that they were going to be doing hydro racing out there.
Now the lake is open for fishing during the day and then they kick everyone off at 5pm for wakeboard lessons in the late afternoon/evening.
.....I heard all this about a month ago for what it's worth.

This could work if you could justify the $50. dollars.

Do they have a web site so we can see who's signed up?
And why is this not posted in the v drive forum??

Whats the ticket run for running no baffles at elsnore run? $200 or so. Elsinore is close to home with no speed limit and I run baffles, (she likes the backpressure :D ) so I don't know what a ticket costs!! Considering all the free outings we have I think $50. is questionable. I'll probably still attend for the $15. spectator w/lunch fee. Hopefully the racers in our area will think this is a good place to show off a little, besides $50 bucks is a hell of a lot cheaper than a weekend racing.

I work for the water dept for Irvine and have not heard anything about this and I would really be suprised if this event went through. Irvine is a very strict lake with no powewr boats at all. Except for I think after 5.00pm skiining lesson i will check around at work to see whats up.
