Ignition noise in my system after I added an amp whatÂ’s the best fix did I mess something up?

install a fue filter to you stereo system. you should be okay!! :rolleyes: j/k i think a stereo shop should have whats called a noise filter to block out any grounding that beng fed from the motor. hope this helps

Are you running the power for the amp directly from the battery? That sometime fixes it. Otherwise there is a thing you can get from radio shack that seems to work pretty good. It's call a ground loop isolator. goes on the input RCA connections $15.00

IM running speaker wire to the hi output on the amp mybe thats the problem my deck only has one RCA I have that for the sub

MIKE Get a RCA splitter.. Makes 2 jacks out of one .. That should solve your problem. THose noise filters rarely work.

MIKE Dont use the filter!! Those things are crap. Either use an RCA splitter or put a line out converter right at the deck where your speaker wires come out from. From there run some really well insualted RCA cables and you should be good.
If you spent the money on 2 amps and want good sound why not just upgrade to a deck with front, rear and sub outputs?? Your system is only as good as its weakest link and that deck is a seriously weak link.
