Gotta admit, my dream wouldn't be very much of a hot boat. But since, were dreaming :D I would buy a 65 Hatteras or Bertram convertable to cruise all over the gulf, key's and bahamas with.
In a smaller version, my favorite boat's I would love to have are -
1. The Schiada 21RC from the boat show.
2. OTR
3. F26 the one w/red & gold swirl strip(Maryland colors)
4. Spectra 20 in the classifieds on this site with 700hp, blue and white.
5. Ultra 247 closed deck, extra large tabs, Pfaff 700NA, for lake cruising and occasional Catalina trips for scuba diving.
HM - I'm really digging that Sanger for sale.

Well, I like others would need multiple boats. I would require at least two for my place in Havasu and two for my place in Tahoe. One of each for each lake:
Hallett 270 mid-cabin with a 575 SCI and XR drive, kick ass stereo and DVD system.
Conquest deckboat with the 575 SCI and the XR drive kick ass stereo.

21 foot daycruiser, all redone with 528 hemi, 10.71 with a hat on alky, v-drive black with purple flame job. Well I still don't know much about boats, motors or drives but from what I have read performance wise- I'd want a Howard Bullet. Looks wise- I don't know all the brand names I like looking at the ones that are long, sleek and low profile. I'm partial to outboards. Got nothing in particular against jets I just prefer outboard. :) I saw a pic of a boat that had 3 outboards on the back of it and well my heart sped up. :) Color wise black, silver, and blue.
My real dream boat would be a houseboat so I could live on the water (at least part-time).
Now if we're talking dream boat without a lottery win my standards go down to it must float and have a working motor. LOL! :D Oh and it must NOT be a Bayliner. wink :D

I would go for the 21 Daytona jet too, with a bit more hp, one of Info's whipple charged 705's would be fine. I've got a 26' boat that I rarely use since it is no fun to drive. If I had to choose a real dream boat, one you could only own if you won the lottery or did whatever huge... It would be the 43 Tencara by Platinum Powerboats www.raceboats.com (http://www.raceboats.com)
http://www.raceboats.com/Images/b2-rev400x265.jpg
Designed 100% by CAD, and the plug was built on a CNC mill... I can relate. Boat works better than anything in it's class. Sick engineering to go with the $400K price tag for the bare hull.
200 mph with T-57 Turbines. This would be my race boat.
For pleasure, I would slip into the welcome confines of my 41 Raptor by the same company. Both boats are designed by a Naval Architect and built out of 100% autoclaved pre-preg carbon fiber. Check out the interior of this rig...
http://www.raceboats.com/Images/PIC00628.JPG
Here is the outside...
http://www.raceboats.com/Images/IMGP0241_web.jpg
I don't particularly like this particular boats choice in leather color for the outdoor portion of the interior, but love the way the boat looks and the all carbon fiber interior with stainless hardware. That is just pure playa. I can also imagine it with serious sound.
Both would be parked at my dock on the inland waterway in Pas a Grille (near Tampa), Florida ready for cruising out to Clearwater Beach or the Keys for a weekend. Mostly really, really fast gulf running and Gulf coast poker runs. Trip to Bahamas on occasion... possibly the Virgin Islands too.

oh yeah just so I don't totally change the topic I'd build the boat I've been designing for a while. It's kinda got the same principle as the stealth bike on american choppers. It's about 50FT overal in length and the front of the sponsons are made to look like the nose of a commanche chopper. The Canopies are fairly boxy and have a metal frame. The Paint would be stealth black just like the chopper on american choppers and I'd have the engines so full of chrome you could make 12 snoop dog videos with em. I'd slam some 2000 pony engines in there with big'ole six drives. I'd custom design all the guages and the controls. The throttle would be a joystick and the trim buttons would be mounted on the joystick for easy access. Hell while I've got all that room on the joystick I can throw a NOS button on there. :D

Spoken like a true poor person. You keep tellin yourself that those boats are gay. OK NastyOne, you'll notice that the Schiada 21 River Cruiser has popped up in this thread more then any other boat. Why do you suppose that is, if it's "gay?"
2ndly, do you even know what a bad to the bone 21' Schiada costs? Poor person.. LOL I think not. Think upwards of over 100K without breaking a sweat in a 21' boat.

That Schubeck engine is badass. I remember the old Eagle Engine, they had a shop near where I lived at the time and I even went and filled out a job application while in High School. Then the NHRA obviously saw the writing on the wall and changed the rules to prohibit fourvalve or overhead engines and that was that. I'd like to see what the prices are on those bad boys once they get the website finished.

Before Cole closed his shop mine would have been a 22 ft Superhawk with a skier style interior and either a 496HO or a 500hp. Now, I think I would go to either Howard or Schiada and get a 22 ft daycruiser. I think the Howard 22 offshore would be awsome if it had a daycruiser deck, rear facing jump seats (for sking), and a 500hp. For a gelcoat, I would want something with lots of flames etc and color, esp candy apple red , purple, and yellow... I figure if I buy it for fun, it should look fun.
