I always facinated by what others think others should do with there money, or what kind of boat someone should own, or where they should use. The cold hard reality is that nobody owns the water, and everyone is entitled to use it as they see fit. Although you may not agree with the way someone is using the water, it does not make it wrong. I boat on a rive/lake chain that sees everything from 10' Zodiacs, every length pontoon, fishing boats, bass boats, wake board boats, 20-40' powerboats, to 50' cruisers and housboats. I myself own a 18' pontoon, and a 20' Sleekcraft jet. On any given Satuday there is so much boat traffic and wakes from the big boats that I can not use my jet boat. Now, I may not like the big powerboats cruising the river because it does not allow me to use the rive the way I want to. But it would absurd for me to think that any one that does not have a boat like mine should go somewhere else, or they shouldn't own boats like that, because I don't like those boats. If it is someone desire to onw a 30' Cat w/ twin 1000hp screws, who am I to say they shouldn't and then to go further and say if you do, don't bring it to my river. The truth is I have no right. If someone wants to live in a tent so they can own a $150,000 boat it there right. I may not agree with it, but they have to right to make the choices in their life, not me. If I don't like the boats on the river, I have the right to boat or move somewhere where I am more cofortable. Personally I love boats. pontoons, jet boats, and yes big, loud, fast powerboats. I choose to enjoy my time on the water and get along with fellow boaters. I always tell my kids. Worry about yourselves. I think if more poeple in the where more concerned about there own lives instead of trying to find fault in others, it would probably be a much happier place to live...and boat

Kinda of a River "Bruiser" of sorts if ya know what I mean, a little something to embarass the guys with the 100K+ boats. "Bruiser" I havent herd that expression in years. brings back memories of my pop's stories about his muscle car raceing days! I have a few bruisersin the day! I had a 75 monte form new mexico that would rip the doors off porches and vettes all day long not that it was to hard to do! I out ran the cops in that thing one night about 4 am in the mourning on a one way steet down town from west side all the way trhough the east side I had to be doing about 140's and not a soul in sight! She finally did herself in one night when I did a nutral drop at full rpm (I was stupid). As soon as I hit gear I dug ruts in the pavement about 1" deep for about 9 feet and ripped the front clip mounts right out of the fenders ****ed it all up! :D
