Anyone know a good place to get one in the San Diego area? It can be old or a puppy, male or female. Must like boat rides.

Did you try Taco Bell? Or Geico? I think they have a talking one and that would be a hell of alot better than a yippity little ankle biting bastard. :D

I like those little dogs. It is either a dotson or a chihuahua... I think a Datsun is/was a japanese car company. However, it wouldn't be a Dachshund as those are the wiener dogs. I think Hot Diggity Dog on the boards has a couple of them. :D

You could probably find a couple on Ebay as Taco Bell was giving them away bobble head style. Still be much better than that annoying little rat on stilts with an ear piercing squeaky bark. :D
Besides, I think those bobble head dogs really like boat rides and one sitting up on the dash of the pimp boat would finish the whole package off. wink

I put a new steering wheel on it too. I noticed some weld marks on the intake manifold. What gives?

I recommend www.chihuahuarescue.com (http://www.chihuahuarescue.com) (without the dash -- it's different from chihuahua-rescue.) They're all the way in Burbank, but we drove there from Lake Forest and got the little guy on the right in the photo (he's a Chihuahua mix.) He does great on the boat -- in the picture, he's in the 'Burban waiting to go out on the boat in Havasu. The day we got him, there was a couple at the shelter from San Diego, and they got two Chihuahuas that needed good homes.
Good luck!

I don't know if there was some kind of warm air crossover or something on that manifold once upon a time. It was welded up when I got it and I never touched it. Ran great, welds and all. Perhaps if you ground them out you'd pick up some speed. :D

I always just pulled it out of the water and while on the boat ramp incline, ran the bilge pump and it got most the water out. By the time I was home the little bit of water that was left had dried out anyway. You want a drain plug? Just drill a hole. :p :D

If you want it sandblasted just send it up. I did mine and than sprayed it with an acrylic coating. It came out looking really nice.

Yep. I bought his disco boat. I figured I could run this one while I take my time with the daytona. Problem is, I am really struggling with resisting from tearing the entire disco boat apart and making it like new.
