My rig weighs about 2000lbs and my brother-in-law has towed me up to Castiac in his wrangler twice with no problems.

The biggest issue when towing pontoon boats is the wind resistance. Have you ever towed a garage door?

I would be concerned with the short wheel base and the big box behind you. I tow my boat a very short distance to the ramp and it works ok for that purpose. I say no

I agree on the short wheelbase bud. Take it out for a test tow. Wind will be a serious issue towing with such a small vehicle.
