We are going to Cancun in September, but have never been there before. Do you guys that have been there have any suggestions on the best romantic(its our honeymoon) place to book a stay. The wife wants to be able to lay out at the beach topless and I want to be able to rent a boat or jetskis for a day to go cruising up and down the beach.
Our travel company suggested the Omni, but the last time I trusted a company, I was not all that pleased with where we ended up. We just hate to go somewhere new and wish we had booked a better place once we get there.
thanks, Scott&Kara

We went thru Apple Vacations and stayed at the Blue Bay Resorts. Blue Bay has 2 hotels, one is an "Adults Only Hotel" (expect to see a LOT of topless chicks) & the other a "Family Hotel". You can book reservations at one hotel, but play at both for no extra cost. A shuttle boat or bus will bring you to each hotel at no extra cost. Both hotels are all inclusive. Our room was Beach Front and very affordable. I cannot say enough good things about Apple Vacations! They ROCK!!! No matter where you stay....you’re gonna LOVE Cancun!!! If you need a designated driver or just someone to carry your luggage, just let me know....I'm available!!! *evil grin*

Notice the "swim-up" bar! Way too cool! Don't forget to join in on "tequila volleyball"!!!

XelHa - This is where a natural water lagoon meets the ocean. Snorkeling was simply amazing!!! Words cannot describe how cool this place was!! You must see it for yourself!

We stayed at Moon Palace, if you want to be out of town stay here. They have a shuttle that takes you to all of the other palaces. The Moon Palace or the Spa Palace is nice.

I would suggest any place that is adults only.
I have nothing against kids but we stayed at the royal solaris a few years ago, great place, but it would have been even better if it was an adult resort.
You might also want to consider what you want to do while your there. If you plan on going to the city, booze cruise, see the ruins, clubs, etc. There are a few resorts far away from everthing, and there are resorts close to all the action.
Good luck & have fun.
