the charthouse in dana point has the shit when it comes to artichokes!!! mesquite smoked with a lemon butter baste,...... well it looks like im makin res. for fri. night!!!!

The Giant Artichoke Restaurant in Castoville Ca. (Artichoke Capital of the World), is tops. A must stop on the way to the wine country.

I grew up in Marina which is right next to Castrolville and yes they do claim to be the Artichoke Capital of The World. As far as I know there is no other place that can come close. They have a big artichoke festival every year and you can get every type imaginable.

Try dipping them in warmed butter that has some pureed garlic in it ITTTTTTS GREAAAAAT
