Have an opportunity to buy a very clean 1998 23' Sleekcraft w. a 454 MPI, Bravo 1, 200 hrs, at a killer price. I'd have to sell my 1993 20' Cole Super Sport, also with a 454, Bravo etc. I don't know much about Sleekcraft. What should I do?

..gaining 3' and 5 years sounds good, depending on how big the step is...I would say take the Sleek for a spin and decide! :)

The 20.5 Cole is one of the funnest, quickest, best handling boat I have ever owned. It's like driving a fricken gocart. I went to the 22.5 and saw no advantage to 2-3 more feet and it didn't handle as well. I had the 93' also and after 12 years, sold it to a friend of mine. He won't sell it back to me. I would keep the Cole and just upgrade it a bit. Much better built boat in my opinion.
BTW, how much for the Cole?

Simple, Just buy a bigger Cole. Waterboy has 1996 22' Nighthawk that is super clean. I just wish I could get myself in a position to pick that bad boy up  .

It doesn't get any better than the Cole 20.5 Super Sport. I stepped up to the 22.5 and now have a 25'. That frigen 20.5 is the best performing Cole (or for that matter any) small v-bottom made. The last motor I had in it was a 800HP Vortech supercharged big block. UN FRIGEN BELlEVABLE>>>> Put a lightley warmed BBC in it when I sold it to my best friend (funny thing is he started this post minimo) who I don't get to see much since we moved to LHC from TO, and he has run it like that for at least 4 seasons. It still kicks it! and he won't sell it back to me!!

I have a 1998 Sleekcraft 23 with 200 Hrs. I am very pleased with it. As for the Cole it seems theres a concensus from the group supporting the Cole as the superior boat. Does'nt seem you can go wrong with either choice.
My vote is for the Sleek
Good luck

Ya, for a smaller boat it really handles the ruff stuff very nice, and It is a blast to drive, I cant tell you how many times I've been giggling like a littel school girl while blasting through the reeds or airing it out on a wake funny, funny shiot. :crossx:

Keep the Cole! I have a 90' SS II and my buddy has a 93' Superhawk. Aside for the chop on Havasu, they are awesome all around boats. In my opion, I don't think you'd notice any benifit from 2 and half feet of the Sleek...
