I am Ok with my air quality and think that my ISP is fast enough.... argue ..I don't need posters, I can pick my own CD's..I don't believe I really am the 1,000,000th customer, I don't want a free membership to Asian Anal Porn Ninjas...I will click on E-bay when I need it, it shouldn't decide for me. burningm
I just want to stop all this crap from interupting my time on the World Wide Waste of Time........Send HELP!!!! cry

There's a good pop-up killer called POW (http://www.analogx.com/contents/download/network/pow.htm).
It's a free program from AnalogX (http://www.analogx.com).
When a pop-up appears, you add it to the list, and it kills it from that point forward.

My Problem is Internet Exporer keeps poping up while I use AOL. It drives me crazy. I tried to delete/uninstall it but that just makes for more problems. I sure could use some advice on this one!

Popup Stopper is free and works pretty good. get it for free here http://www.panicware.com
As far as the spam killer, write or call your congressman. They are looking at laws right now to make unsolicited email illegal with fines and/or jail involved. I know of no program that can stop all spam. It can be filtered, but it is not a reliable way to do it because most of the major "spammers" just keep changing their email addresses and you don't want to put too many rules in the filters because that has a potential to filter out valid emails that you may have actually wanted.

Make sure you do not have an adware program that has installed on your computer. These programs will popup ads at random. There is software out there that looks for these programs and removes them. A good way to tell if you are infected is if you start seeing popus on sites like ***boat.com, google.com and other sites that do not use popus.

My office computer just gets random popups when I'm on the web, and those window open up other windows either by themselves or when I try to close them. Even with "cltrl W." My home computer get big plain popups all night long, so there's 5 or 6 messages sitting there. We just bought the home unit, and the old computer didn't ever get them.....we also changed from ATT to RoadRunner, so I don't know which is at fault.

I was using pow and it works great. The only thing I didnt like about it was if you forgot to turn it on then you get popups. I found this new browser on techtv website that is highly recomended by the call for help show. It is the avant browser, here is the link. http://www.avantbrowser.com/. Check it out, Im done with all the others. It even has an audible alert that beeps when a popup is trying to load. :) Oh yeah its free!! If you want to donate you can, if not no prob.
