Well I wont be making it to OP6  But as all of you know I have not had much luck with making deals latly but this one is for sure. I will be going to Denver this weekeend to pick up my new tow rig! :D Let me know what you all think! It a 1979 Chevy 1 Ton with 5k on since being restored. As you can see its got a 454 torbo motor built for this turbo which is a Ray Jay RV turbo. It also has a real cool gear splitter so you can get 6 gears out of the turbo 400. What would you pay for this? http://www.***boat.com/image_center/data/520/475Mvc-007s-med.jpg

I must say Im suprized there was not more interest in this truck. The guy I bought from really has allot of $$$ in this thing. His Loss is my gain. Nice being on the other end for a change

Hey Super v that looks sweet. I so love that style of truck, since you don't see a whole lot of them on the road.
Here is a pic of my other toy...78 chev c/w 350, fuel injection, 700R4, lowered 4" in front, 5 out back, 3:42 rear end, buckets.......

You know i have never seen a Dually Suburban....
My Grandpa bought this truck new and handed it down to me... I since have restored it and kept it inside all the time. All new metal from GM, except the cab itself. So it is quite special.
:D :D

Hey Super V...........if you want to replace that grill with a modern 88-90 (suburban) style grill, there is a chance you will have to replace the entire front clip (fenders, hood, inner supports). I thought I remember reading that in a Sport Truck Magazine a while back, but I am not 100% positive.
That sucker is clean. Good Luck!

Put a 88-91 Tahoe/Suburban front end on it. They are the same body style and came with the 88/89 truck front end on them from the factory. It will be much cheaper.
I stand corrected. After re-looking at the pic I now see that it's a 73-80 front end. Thought it was a 81-87....sorry.

Does it have a gear-vendors splitter on it????
Nice lookin' sub though. Should go pretty good with a turbo.
You gotta change the core support to put the 87-91 grill in a 81-86 truck. Just got done researching that for mine. To change at 73-80 truck over, you gotta use different fenders and hood. The 81-86, and 87-91 trucks had a sloped hood.

It's wet because this picture was taken shortly after an "incident'...notice the broken screen.
I dug the left sponson in and enough water came over the front to break it, nearly took me out of the boat! It spun instantly and fortunately did not roll, how I don't know but I sure as hell knew it was time to go back on the trailer for the day.
superV,
mine is '73, 383, headers, cam, carb, shift kit, lowered, etc. I tow a '76 Sanger. It is nothing special, just a tow vehicle.
