This picture is from the May issue of Trailer Boats magazine (p. 136.) It just cracked me up (and I wonder if that's a no wake zone? :) )

The San Bernadino County Sheriffs Office has a patrol boat on Havasu that was built custom for them by Advantage.

The San Bernadino County Sheriffs Office has a patrol boat on Havasu that was built custom for them by Advantage.I see those guys every weekend crusing the channel (hey, that's not San Bernardino County! :) ) That boat looks kind of impractical to me for police work, plus it's looking a little "tired" to boot. I think the 2-whacker center console RIBs used by LHCPD are pretty cool for work in calm water, and the "working boats" used by Mohave County Sheriff look like the way to go for out on the lake.
