My Dad had 77 or 71 in mint condition that he sold for 10K last year. He cried.

I assume it's a V-drive? Then it's worth it.

Albert,
Is that the Spectra 24 w/460 Ford in the boattrader?
I would say for $8,000.00, its a good deal.
I dont think its an XS24.

I saw that boat, it's a really good deal. I didn't think my poor little 1/2 ton truck would pull that beast over the Cajon Pass.

On the other hand you should be happy, I just filled up the 1 ton, crew cab dually last night, 75 gallons at $1.88 (premium) a gallon to keep the 454 running smooth and cool. Pulling isn't a problem, but paying the price to pull is:)
thanks

I have a 77 Spectra 460 jet and I love it. Not fast (yet) but it get me where I want to be with good gas economy. If it is in good shape, jump on it. Going to try to pull mine out tomorrow and try to start redoing the interior.
Not like you lucky SOB's wink down south with your eighty degree days in winter. It was 12 degrees here this am. eek!

Since you have a '77 Spectra, would that work for you if you had 3 girls, 11, 9, & 6, and spent a couple weekends a month on the Parker strip and/or Havasu; just cruising, sking, and camping out once in a while.
thanks for your insight.

I have two boys, the wife and I take the dog. Does that count? :D I often end up with another person in the mix also. Plenty of room. The new interior is going to have the bench across the back though.

my 1976 spectra 19' seats five two in front and three in the back bench i would assume that ther woud be plently of room for three girls. and as for size gose mine ( the 19') is less roomy.
than some of the other spectra's. wink good luck they are great boats.

Mine is 20' and I have 3 kids, 8, 7 and 5. We usually camp for our trips and stay at least 4-5 days. Plenty of room for all of us, camping stuff, and water toys.
We don't run around too much fully loaded with stuff, just from the ramp to our camp site.
Good Luck.
